Limi Valley Trek

Talent wins games, but teamwork win championships

Trip Overview

Simikot Limi Valley Trek is one of the beautiful and adventurous trails of north-west region in Nepal. The area is full of picturesque scenes of landscapes, vegetations and natural life. The valley trek offers superb views, ethnicity, culture, lifestyle, tradition, language and so on. Simikot Limi Valley Trek also provides the opportunity of exploring the starting point of the longest river of Nepal named (Humla) Karnali. The valley is cultivated by Tibetan origin people who have their own language, tradition and culture based on Tibetan roots.

Simikot Limi Valley Trek has its finest beauty with variety of forests, wildlife and birds. The region is full of flora and fauna including the rare animals and birds like wild yak, wild horse, wolf, and black bear, barking deer, musk deer, blue sheep, marmot, hare and occasionally snow leopard too.Simikot Limi Valley Trek provides the magnificent view of the mountains- Mt. Saipal (7031m.), Mt. Byas Rishi, Mt. Api, Mt. Gorkha, Mt. Kanjirowa, Mt. Kailash, Mt. Kanti etc. One of the attractions of the trek is the view of Manasarovar Lake and hundreds of rivers and streams. The view point for these peaks is Gyuokharka at 5000m. The valley is so remote that there are no any facilities of modern world. People of the valley are backward due to the lack of awareness and poverty. Being the district headquarters of Jumla district, the valley is still remote due to its geographical remoteness. There is no direct means of transportation from Kathmandu to Jumla till now.

Simikot Limi Valley Trek offers the finest scenery throughout the journey. The villages in the valley named Gombayok and Haljee are mostly depending upon the livestock. The people’s daily activity is to graze the animals in the plateau. Few of them are engaged in trade too. All in all, the trekking through Simikot Limi Valley Trek gives everlasting experience of virgin land travelling to the border of Tibet. The trek to Simikot Limi valley is fully camping trek so everything should be carried by the team of the Trek
